What it is

The RAINSLEEVE™ from OP/TECH USA is the must-have accessory for avid outdoor photographers, offering a shield from the elements (from rain, sand and snow) that fits easily in the pocket or camera bag. It features a unique eyepiece opening that adapts to most camera viewfinders, allowing composition of shots through the camera’s lens, not through the plastic. All camera and lens controls are easily seen and operated through the RAINSLEEVE™. It can be used either hand-held or on a tripod. If shooting with a long lens, the tripod mount can be attached directly through the pliable plastic. If shooting using an OP/TECH USA neck strap, simply attach the quick disconnects directly through the pliable plastic. (Note: verify that you have a positive lock on the quick disconnects.) The drawstring enclosure will fit any lens up to seven inches (17.8 cm) in diameter and up to 18 inches (45.7 cm) long.

 

 

The RAINSLEEVE™ – FLASH offers the same great features as the original RAINSLEEVE™ yet can accommodate a camera shoe-mounted flash (up to approx. 7″ tall x 5″ wide x 4″ deep). It effectively shields a camera, lens and flash unit from the elements and fits easily in the pocket or camera bag. It also features a unique eyepiece opening that adapts to most camera viewfinders, allowing composition of shots through the camera’s lens, not through the plastic. All camera, lens and flash controls are easily seen and operated through the RAINSLEEVE™ – FLASH. The drawstring enclosure will fit any lens up to seven inches (17.8 cm) in diameter and up to 14 inches (35.6 cm) long.

Op/Tech Grip Strap

What it is

 

The GRIP STRAP™ offers a secure system for carrying an SLR camera in the hand. It’s ideal for photographers on the run who want their cameras always “at the ready”. The metal base plate has a rubber pad to protect the camera’s finish and uses a case screw to firmly attach to the tripod mount area of the camera. The GRIP STRAP™ is then secured to the base plate and one of the camera attachment areas. If a third attachment area exists on the camera, the base plate connection can be removed from the strap. This leaves a 3/8″ webbing connection for the third connection area. This also keeps the tripod mount area available for use.

 

The unique loop attachment system enables the strap to quickly snap in place using our Uni-Loop quick disconnects. These connectors can then be used on other strap configurations. The GRIP STRAP™ is adjustable to fit snugly across the back of the hand and attaches comfortably around the wrist with snaps. This dual system provides a comfortable and secure strap.

What it is

 

The DOUBLE SLING™ from OP/TECH USA offers the same feel and fast action of the UTILITY STRAP™ – SLING. . . times two! Its U-shaped neoprene pad effectively distributes and balances the weight of two cameras while absorbing the shock of the photographer’s movements. Op/tech USA introduces BlackRapid style sling strap

Following on from the introduction in February of the Op/tech Sling Strap connectors which convert any full size Op/tech neck strap to a shoulder sling, Op/tech have now added a complete Shoulder Sling to their range.

Based on the Op/tech Utility Strap, the Sling Strap comes complete with the OTM216 sling connectors instead of the standard neck-length strap connectors. The Utility Sling Strap comes complete with 2 quick-release Uni-Loop adapters making it suitable for use with any DSLR, most binoculars or camcorders.

The differences between Optech & similar products are

  • Highest grade Neoprene to ensure weight reduction
  • Strap attached to camera where it should be, not the tripod connector, which might damage your DSLR
